The First Xining International Walking Festival will be held for the first time in 2025, authorized by the International Hiking Union and hosted by the Xining Municipal Government, which will attract tens of thousands of hiking enthusiasts from all over the world to come to Xining to participate in the event, which will be held on Saturday and Sunday in the second half of May every year. 24th and 25th May, 2025, Xining International Hiking Congress will be officially launched. Xining, the bright pearl of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, sitting at a golden altitude of 2,261 meters and a cool summer capital of 18 degrees Celsius, is an ecological city that integrates Chinese and Tibetan cultures and natural wonders. The First Xining International Walking Festival has created three core experiences:

Double line: 10 kilometers of loop line with a panoramic view of Beichuan Green Corridor, and 5 kilometers of parent-child line integrating wetland trails and ecological science and technology to meet the dual needs of professional challenges and family leisure;

Cultural and ecological symphony: along the hiking route, you will encounter non-heritage treasures such as Tangka and pile embroidery, and savor highland delicacies such as yak yogurt, as well as the first carbon-neutral hiking mode in Northwest China, so that every step will be guarding the pure land;

Dance with the mountain and the sea: ing up with the Dalian Hiking Conference to build a “2200-meter reverse recreation” experience (certified by Academician Wu Tianyi), so that the Bohai Sea coast and the Tibetan Plateau can jointly paint the May scene of “golden rapeseed blossoms and snow-white acacia blossoms”.
